Even ski brands on top of the podium need PR support.
SPYDER is the first name in race apparel for skiing, but a dormant PR program led to their competitors taking the top spots in the earned media.
The Remedy team is well versed in helping ski and snowboard brands secure endemic, mainstream, and lifestyle PR exposure.
We worked with SPYDER on ensuring that the core ski and outdoor media were aware of its latest offerings, but we didn’t stop there. The majority of skiers don’t read the ski magazines, so we made it a point to connect with journalists outside the core-ski space, delivering stories everywhere from Forbes to Men’s Journal to CNN and the leading tastemaker sites for women’s fashion. Since SPYDER is now making shoulder-season products, we took it a step further to make sure their fall and lifestyle/off-mountain jackets also came home with medals.
Our public relations efforts for SPYDER went beyond the traditional were a full Remedy team effort, involving PR associates in San Diego, New York, and also the Midwest. It didn’t matter where they were based, it mattered that they understood the brand and how to position its value to journalists.
As a part of our program we built showroom events in Manhattan and Denver to connect with the right media, and executed local market media tours to pay special visits to the journalists who influenced the influencers. And in a pinch, we also managed their digital ad executions and helped draft web and catalog copy for more than 300 SKU’s. We even did some of their hangtags! Remedy is one of the top public relations agencies for action sports and outdoor industry brands looking for PR support. This is just a top-level outline of the PR results we have helped surf, snowboarding, skiing, yoga, and similar outdoor brands achieve.
